Editorial Policy
Editorial Policy
This policy describes how LodiScore produces what you read, and what to do when we get something wrong.
Where our data comes from
Live scores, schedules, standings and team information come from a commercial sports data provider and update automatically. We do not adjust those numbers by hand. When a provider figure is wrong, it stays wrong on our site until the provider corrects it — the honest limit of any live-score product.
How our articles are produced
Our news and analysis are written from provider data and reputable published reporting, and appear under a consistent set of section bylines whose beats are listed on our authors page. Every article shows when it was published and when it last changed.
What we will not do
We do not invent quotes, statistics, contract figures or attributions. Trade and signing reports are labelled as reports, with the outlet that broke them named. We do not claim broadcast rights, official status, or any relationship with a league or team that we do not have.
Corrections
Tell us and we will fix it. Factual errors are corrected on the page, and where a correction changes the meaning of a story we note what changed and when. We do not delete articles to make errors disappear. Write to us through the contact page.
Independence and commercial links
Some links on this site are commercial. They have no bearing on what we cover or how a game is reported.
