His passing profile mirrors that of captain Martin Odegaard, recording 8.6 line-breaking passes per 90 minutes last season, while maintaining a superior forward-pass accuracy compared to current Arsenal midfielders Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi.

The addition of Guimarães provides a necessary buffer for Rice and Zubimendi, who both exceeded 4,000 minutes of play during the previous campaign.
