Choco Mucho vs Galeries Tower PVL All-Filipino Conference match report — Choco Mucho Flying Titans and Galeries Tower Highrisers in four-set action

Choco Mucho Galeries Tower result: the Flying Titans got back in the win column with a 21-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-15 four-set victory over the Highrisers in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The win moves Choco Mucho to 3-1. Galeries Tower slips to 0-4 and is still hunting a first victory in the conference. For a side that had just dropped a five-setter to Farm Fresh, this was the response it needed.

Choco Mucho Galeries result: Flying Titans shake off a slow start

Set 1 went Galeries Tower's way, 25-21, and Choco Mucho looked like a team still stewing over that Farm Fresh loss. Head coach Dante Alinsunurin didn't sugarcoat it afterwards.

"At first, we had a problem with our attacks but we just did everything we could to rediscover our form from our first two games," Alinsunurin said in Filipino.

Whatever changed, it changed fast. Choco Mucho took the next three sets and the margins kept widening — 25-17, then 25-19, then 25-15. The opening frame was the only one Galeries Tower won, and the Highrisers never passed 19 points again.

"When the second set came, we realized that we needed to step up in everything we do as individuals and we just went on from there," he added.

That word — individuals — is the interesting bit. This wasn't a tactical overhaul so much as a group of players deciding to be sharper on their own touches, and the scoreboard followed.

Eya Laure does a bit of everything for Choco Mucho

Laure led the way with 18 points, and the rest of her line was just as useful: nine digs and 11 receptions. She was the steady hand while the pieces around her clicked back into place.

Those reception numbers matter. Laure wasn't just terminating; she was keeping Choco Mucho in system on the other side of the ball, which is exactly what a team missing its rhythm needs.

Sisi Rondina-Rosales and Caitlin Viray, both former UST teammates of Laure, chipped in 11 markers apiece. Lorene Toring added 10 — and hers arrived at the moment Choco Mucho needed them.

That spread matters. When three or four hitters are putting the ball down, the setter has options and the block has to guess. Galeries Tower spent most of Sets 2 through 4 guessing.

How Choco Mucho broke Set 4 open

Set 4 was tied at 8-all and briefly looked like it might turn into a grind. Then Rondina-Rosales went to work — a kill from the back row, followed by an ace, and it was 11-8.

Toring kept the run going with a quick hammer and a denial on Jean Asis at the middle. Maddie Madayag dropped in an ace and the cushion jumped to 17-9.

Galeries Tower didn't fold. Aiza Maizo-Pontillas capped a 4-1 spurt to pull the Highrisers within seven at 19-13, and there was a flicker of life.

Laure snuffed it out, squeezing a kill through the two-woman block. Viray then put away two late attacks, the last of them off a set from Alina Bicar to end it.

Galeries Tower still chasing a first win

Only two Highrisers reached double-digit scoring: Maizo-Pontillas with 11 and Asis with 10. Erika Deloria chimed in with nine.

That's the shape of an 0-4 start, honestly. Enough individual production to hang around in rallies, not quite enough to close out sets against a team with Choco Mucho's depth.

For the Flying Titans, the takeaway is simpler. They're 3-1, they've stopped the bleeding, and the form from their first two games is back within reach.

The question now is whether Galeries Tower can turn these stretches of good play into a set, and then a match. Choco Mucho, meanwhile, gets to build instead of patch.
